PRESS: Sber Eapteka wants to offer medicines in installments online

MOSCOW, Sep 18 (PRIME) -- Online pharmacy Sber Eapteka, part of Russia’s Sber ecosystem, will offer medicines online in installments, business daily Vedomosti reported on Monday quoting two people familiar with the initiative.

The information was confirmed by a representative of Sber Eapteka, who said that a special service will be launched to develop the project.

The daily explained the idea by Sber Eapteka’s intention to get a still vacant niche. Various marketplaces now offer a similar option, but it applies only to dietary supplements and not to medicines.

The option is not popular in retail, the daily said. Medicines can be purchased in installments in a number of pharmacy chains when paying via Sovcombank’s cards.
